Welcome to Detroit's FSS webpage, a United States Marshals Service initiative.
What's new:
Fugitive Safe Surrender Detroit ended on June 7, 2008 with a record-breaking turnout of over 6,000 participants. Due to the high demand, a number of vouchers were distributed to fugitives who surrendered during the program. Only those individuals with FSS vouchers are to report to the U.S. Marshals' mobile command post located outside the 36th District Court anytime between the hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm before July 7, 2008. You must provide a valid ID with a current mailing address. The 36th District Court will then notify you via mail regarding your court date. You will not be able to schedule a court date via phone nor will 36th District Court staff be able to schedule court dates in person.
The 36th District Court will only service those participants with a voucher validated by the U.S. Marshal Service prior to July 7, 2008. Fugitive Safe Surrender candidates who attempted to participate in the program during the advertised hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm, June 4 - 7, 2008 bud did not receive a voucher, should report in person to the 36th District Court where they can follow the normal procedure for the removal of warrants.
Fugitive Safe Surrender is not to be confused with the City of Detroit's Parking Ticket Amnesty program. You must call the City of Detroit for information on their parking ticket amnesty program or read from the link below.
