About Detroit FSS

FSS encourages persons wanted for non-violent felony or misdemeanor offenses in Detroit's 36th District Court and Wayne County's Third Circuit Court to surrender voluntarily to faith-based leaders and law enforcement in a church. FSS recognizes that many offenders are looking for a way out.  The program provides an opportunity for individuals wanted for non-violent offenses to resolve their warrants and get on with their lives, surrendering within the confines of a church.  There is no religious requirement.

Eligible offense types include (but are not limited to):

  • Traffic and Ordinance Violations (36th District only)

  • Misdemeanors (36th District only)

  • Wayne County Probation and Parole Violators/Absconders

  • Felony (non-violent) (36th District & Wayne County only)

  • Wayne County Friend of the Court Bench Warrants

Please note:

  • On-site cashier will be available

  • Driver's License, State I.D. or Work Picture I.D. are encouraged
